In June of this summer, I attended a Summer Blessings Extravaganza at the invitation of Phyllis Wallace. I wrote a blog post describing my experience titled, “A Good Day Indeed” . It was one of those fellowships that you walked away feeling refreshed. When I connected with Phyllis by phone before the event, I felt that she was a beautiful person by her spirit. When I arrived at the location, I literally felt that same beautiful presence when I walked through the door. I made my way into the area and found Phyllis Wallace to extend a hug of appreciation for the invitation.

As I looked around at the beautiful home decor and gifts, I was truly convinced that everyone who loves the Lord Jesus should have expressions of that love in their homes to reflect His presence in their lives. Phyllis and I have talked occasionally since that day and I really wanted to allow readers to share in my acquaintance with such a beautiful person. Here is a brief interview with Phyllis Wallace…

Tracy:  Phyllis, I know that you worked in corporate America for many years before becoming a consultant for Blessings Unlimited®. Can you give us a little background of that particular experience. 

Phyllis:  I worked as a Human Resources Leader for three different Fortune 500 companies for over 16 years. I partnered with senior leaders to create the Human Resource strategy to drive the delivery of business goals through the most valuable asset of Companies — that is the employees. I worked with wonderful gifted individuals which was a crucial part of equipping me for my career in direct sales with Blessings Unlimited.

Tracy:  How were you led you to Blessings Unlimited? 
 

Phyllis: I had shopped frequently in Christian bookstores for products and cards with scriptures from the Bible to give as gifts. Most of these items were from DaySpring which is the parent company for Blessings. I became a DaySpring customer and one day I was on the website and a banner talked about Blessings Unlimited and the rest is History!

Tracy:  Tell us more about the company -it’s products and opportunities.

Tracy:  In your opinion, what makes the company so special? 

Phyllis:  We give glory to God!

Tracy:  Has this business made a difference in your life and how?

Phyllis: Yes in my life, but more importantly the life that Jesus lives through me. The Virtuous Women team and I have played a role in helping Consultants earn income for items such as vacations, car payments and missions. This is rewarding.

 Tracy:  What would you consider to be the most rewarding aspect of being a consultant with Blessings Unlimited?

 
Phyllis: I am honored to use the gift of giving as I live out the Blessings Unlimited mission “To pursue the heart of God and bring blessings to others.”

Well…. it looks like Beyonce’ and her ladies may have to step aside for this one. I shared this video clip on Facebook and thought it would bring a giggle to my blog readers. Enjoy!

Don’t you just admire a woman who pushes aside the preconceived ideas of the age factor? She defies the odds of what only appears to be against her – time. She reinvents herself in her later, more mature years. She basks in the confidence of her true identity.

Age only reflects a number. Too many women prematurely abort their missions simply because they feel that their ticker has almost ticked out. If you ask me, that is when a woman should dig deep inside and pull out all of the goodies that God has placed within her. When I hear stories of women in their 50’s, 60’s and even 70’s accomplishing athletic or physical feats – I’m inspired. When I meet women who start careers or businesses after the kids are grown and no longer living at home – I’m inspired. When I see a woman who has an energetic, youthful spirit only to find out that she is about to turn 60 – I’m inspired. The latest word out is that - now, fifty is the new “40″, forty is the new “30″ and thirty is …. well, personally, I don’t desire to be in my 20’s again.

The reason that I selected the “Live Your Life” gift this month is because I want some woman to be reminded that it’s not too late to get up and “LIVE”!  Don’t allow the age factor to delay or halt your motivation to try something different, to give something back or to be the woman that you see or feel in your heart. God has designed you with purpose; a purpose that only you can carry out.  Yes, it’s true – time waits for no one. However, the next time Sir Time taps you on the shoulder to remind you of this, you just politely tell Sir Time to get behind thee and to figure out a way to catch up with you from now on! Come on ladies… Get out there, celebrate and live your life!

I just want to say “Good Morning” to all.  I know that I haven’t posted anything in awhile but I always know when I should just pull away and allow time to listen and hear what God is saying to me. Last week, I just wanted to be quiet but this past week I prayed for some very specific answers. I received confirmation of what I already knew in my heart but sometimes God allows circumstances and people to make it clear. 

Like I’ve said before, “We’re all a work in progress but there comes a time when we must realize that there is no progress without work.” I understand that now; so I want to encourage you and myself to be all that God has created you to be.  Hold nothing back but give everything…

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:  ~Philipians 1:6~
