This summer, we decided to head back to one of our favorite get-a-way places and visit Beach Cove Resort at North Myrtle Beach. There’s just something about the ocean that makes me feel free. Maybe it’s looking out into the open sky draping over the waters seemingly without end. I love the sound, smell, and breeze of the ocean because it deeply opens my senses to Him and his greatness.
From Atlanta, it’s not a very long drive – about 5 1/2 hours. The girls don’t necessarily like being on the road for long periods but when they see the Welcome signs, they perk up and shift into “We’re almost there!” mode.
This time, we stayed at Beach Cove Resort in a suite with an oceanfront view of the Atlantic – BEAUTIFUL!
This suite was really quite cozy, clean, and comfortable – something I believe most guests would appreciate.
This is the view from our balcony. The day we arrived, it was cloudy with possible rain but we prayed for good weather. We knew the possibility of showers prior to leaving but decided to keep a positive outlook and believe for a change in forecast.
We enjoyed spending time at the outdoor pool deck surrounded by beautiful landscape. It’s a very relaxing area with outdoor pools, whirl pools, a lazy river and a poolside bar and grill.
On the lobby level, there was Town Center with dining, arcade, TV and just a really fun spot for families. Other amenities included a fitness room, indoor pool, sauna, and a racquetball court.
Would you believe the sun peeked through the clouds, allowing these two young ladies to walk out to the beach when we arrived. Of course, they had to strike a pose from excitement.
We enjoyed our Beach Cove Resort visit and so thankful it wasn’t totally rained out. It was a trip much needed – to step away from it all and relax.
